Keratin / Brazilian Blow Dry

Patch Test Instructions

Important: Please read carefully before performing the patch test.

Why Do a Patch Test?

A patch test helps to check if you might have an allergic reaction or sensitivity to the keratin/Brazilian blow dry product before your full treatment. This is a safety precaution to protect your skin and health.

When to do the Patch Test?

  • Perform the patch test at least 48 hours before your scheduled treatment appointment.

  • Do not wash off the product during this time.

What You'll Need

  • The keratin/Brazilian blow dry product sample (in the sealed vial or sachet)

  • Cotton swab or applicator (included)

  • Clean, dry skin behind your ear or inside your elbow (recommended test areas)

How to do the Patch Test?

  1.  Clean the Test Area:
Gently cleanse the skin behind your ear or inside your elbow with soap and water. Pat dry completely.
  2.  Apply the Product:
Using the cotton swab, apply a small amount of the product (about a pea-sized drop) to the test area. Do not rub it in; just let it sit on the skin.
  3.  Leave It On:
Keep the product on your skin and avoid washing or rubbing the area for 24 to 48 hours.
  4.  Observe:
Check the test site for any signs of irritation such as redness, itching, swelling, rash, burning, or discomfort.

What to do if...

  •  No reaction: You may proceed with your keratin/Brazilian blow dry treatment as planned.

  •  Mild irritation (redness, itching): Do NOT proceed with the treatment.

  •  Severe reaction (swelling, rash, burning): Wash the area gently with cool water and mild soap, stop using the product, and seek medical advice immediately.

Important Notes

  • Do not apply the product to broken, irritated, or sensitive skin.

  •  This test is not a guarantee that no reaction will occur during the full treatment.

  •  Contact us if you have any questions or concerns before your appointment.
