Maria Peklivanas is not a qualified hairdresser but is fully trained, certified, and insured in delivering Brazilian Blow Dry and Keratin treatments.

Keratins of Kent specializes in Brazilian Blow Dry and Keratin treatments only.

Our website displays guideline prices for some of our most commonly requested services. While we aim to keep pricing consistent, actual costs may vary based on each client’s specific needs and the nature of the appointment.

The prices listed online are for reference only and may not reflect the final amount charged. If you would like an exact quote, we’re happy to provide one before your appointment.

Complimentary Video Consultation - First-Time Clients Only

At Keratins of Kent, the safety and satisfaction of our clients are our top priorities. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality, tailored treatments, all first-time clients are required to complete a complimentary video consultation prior to booking an appointment.

This consultation is essential to:

Ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you

Establish a professional connection before your in-home service

As this is a mobile treatment service, the consultation also serves as an introduction to Maria Peklivanas, the sole trader and your stylist, helping build comfort and trust ahead of your appointment.

The consultation is required only once for new clients.

Each consultation is recorded or transcribed for accuracy.

A personalised summary report will be sent to you after the session.

Booking: Deposits, Disclaimer Form & Patch Test
​

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments and must be paid via BACS. Deposits must be received within 48 hours of the appointment offer; otherwise, the time slot will be released.
-
Your appointment will only be confirmed once the deposit has been received.
-
It is the client’s responsibility to:

Ensure they are not pregnant at the time of treatment
-
Consult their GP and obtain necessary permissions if they have a medical condition or are taking medication that may interact with the treatment
-

A mandatory patch test and disclaimer form will be sent at least one week before your appointment. Both must be completed and returned no later than 48 hours prior to your appointment. It is advisable to complete the patch test as soon as you receive it to avoid it drying out and needing to be replaced.

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in:

Forfeiture of your appointment

Loss of your non-refundable deposit

A £25 surcharge added to your next booking

Balance Payment
​

Full payment is required on the day of your appointment, before the treatment begins. Payment can be made via cash or BACS.
-
Invoices or receipts are available upon request.
​
Gift Certificates
​
-
Gift Certificates (also known as Gift Cards or Vouchers) are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
Payment for Gift Certificates must be made via BACS transfer.
-
All Gift Certificates must be redeemed within 6 months from the date of purchase. Expired certificates will not be honoured.
-
Gift Certificates can only be used towards services offered by Keratins of Kent and must be presented at the time of booking.
-
Lost or stolen Gift Certificates will not be replaced, and no credit will be issued for unused balances.

Cancellations, No-Shows & Rescheduling Policy – Keratins of Kent

Cancellations by Client
​

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
-
If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, your non-refundable £50 deposit will be forfeited, and a £25 fee will be added to your next appointment.
-
No-shows will be charged the full cost of the treatment.

Rescheduling
​

If you choose to reschedule your appointment, you may do so once with no less than 48 hours’ notice and without penalty.
-
Your non-refundable deposit will be transferred to the new date one time only.
-
Any further rescheduling will incur a £25 surcharge, and a new deposit may be required.

Cancellations by Maria Peklivanas

In the rare event that Maria needs to cancel your appointment due to personal or emergency circumstances:

There will be no cost to either party.
-
Your deposit will be either refunded within 7 days or transferred to a new rescheduled appointment, based on your preference.

Appointment Timing
​

At Keratins of Kent, we strive to arrive promptly for all appointments. However, as a mobile service, travel times can be affected by unpredictable factors such as traffic, weather, or road closures. By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept that exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed.
​
Timing policy:

Arrival within 30 minutes of the scheduled time is considered on time.
-
If Maria arrives between 31–60 minutes late, you are entitled to request a free reschedule, but no refund will be given.
-
If arrival is 61 minutes or more after the scheduled time, you may choose to cancel and receive either a full refund of your booking charges or a free reschedule.

Travel Charges outside of Servicing Area
​

At Keratins of Kent, we are proud to offer a professional mobile service. However, for appointments located 40 miles or more from Canterbury, a travel charge may be added to your total bill to cover additional time and fuel costs.

If a travel fee applies, it will usually be included in your total quote. If preferred, we can provide a separate breakdown of the travel charge when you request a detailed estimate or invoice.

We are happy to confirm whether your address falls within the travel charge zone when you make your enquiry.

Parking & Congestion Charges

As a mobile service, Keratins of Kent travels to your chosen location by car. It is your responsibility to inform us of suitable and legal parking options near your property.
-
If free and safe parking is not available within a reasonable walking distance of your location, any costs incurred—such as parking meters, private parking fees, permits, or fines—will be added to your final bill.

Congestion Charge

If your appointment is located within the London Congestion Charge zone, the applicable charge for that day and time will also be added to your total cost.
-
Please check in advance and let us know about parking arrangements and whether your address falls within a congestion zone to avoid any unexpected fees.

At Keratins of Kent, I work with a range of professional-grade keratin treatment formulas, all sourced from reputable and trusted brands. The specific product used during your appointment may vary depending on stock availability and your individual hair needs.

You may choose from the following formula options:

Original Formula – 0.2% Formaldehyde
​

Offers maximum longevity, lasting up to 3–4 months with proper aftercare.

Best suited for coarse, frizzy, or highly porous hair needing intensive smoothing.

Contains 0.2% Formaldehyde, which complies with industry safety guidelines.

Mid Formula – 0.1% Formaldehyde

Offers strong smoothing results with a slightly lighter finish.

Ideal for moderately frizzy or chemically treated hair.

Contains 0.1% Formaldehyde and provides up to 3 months of results.

Formaldehyde-Free Formula

Suitable for clients seeking a gentler, shorter-term solution.

Results typically last 4–6 weeks, depending on hair type and maintenance.

Ideal for more sensitive clients or those preferring an alternative to chemical formulas.

You must disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or medical concerns that may affect the treatment.

Please indicate your formula preference during your consultation. If no preference is stated, Maria will recommend the most appropriate option based on your hair profile and goals.
By signing this disclaimer, you acknowledge the differences between formulas and agree to proceed with the selected option.

Health, Allergies & Medical Declaration

You confirm that you are medically fit for this treatment. Any known allergies, sensitivities, or health conditions (including asthma or respiratory concerns) must be disclosed.

It is your responsibility to obtain medical clearance from your GP where necessary. Failure to disclose relevant information may result in adverse reactions, for which Keratins of Kent is not liable.

All tools and products used are sanitized between appointments.

The stylist retains the right to refuse service if the working environment is unsafe or unsanitary.

If this is the case this appointment will be charged as a No Show and full payment will be required.

Treatment Results & Hair Colour Disclaimer

Brazilian Blow Dry results vary based on hair type, condition, and prior treatments.

In rare cases, the treatment may not be fully effective.

Clients with coloured hair may experience tone changes due to chemical interactions between the keratin treatment and existing hair dye.

It is the client’s responsibility to consult a professional to determine the appropriate timeframe for safely colouring their hair.

Keratins of Kent accepts no liability for any changes to the keratin treatment results caused by hair colouring.

Client Responsibilities – Preparing your Hair for your Appointment
​

Hair must be washed three times the night before your appointment using a sulfate-free shampoo.
-
Do not use conditioner or apply any other products, as this can affect the results of the treatment.
-
Hair should be washed and fully dried before the stylist arrives, unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon in advance.

Client Responsibility – Treatment Environment
​
You are responsible for providing a safe, clean, well-ventilated environment with adequate lighting, access to power, and water.
​
You agree to:

Provide safe, legal, and accessible parking near your home or appointment location.
-
Provide access to a power outlet and hot water for the treatment.
-
Provide a chair for treatment.
-
Ensure children and pets are kept at a safe distance during the appointment.
-
Maintain a clean area free from clutter or hazards.
​
Maria Peklivanas reserves the right to refuse to proceed or cancel the appointment if the environment does not meet these standards. No refund will be given in this case.

Client Responsibility – Aftercare

Aftercare is essential to maintaining and extending the benefits of your Brazilian Blow Dry treatment.

You must follow all aftercare advice and instructions provided by Keratins of Kent for optimum results.

Failure to follow aftercare guidance may negatively impact treatment effectiveness or cause damage, for which Keratins of Kent is not liable.

Photography, Marketing & Social Media

Photos or videos of your hair treatment may be taken with your consent for marketing purposes on social media and our website.
​
Liability

Keratins of Kent is not liable for any adverse effects caused by failure to disclose relevant medical or hair-related information.

We are not responsible for any hair damage or dissatisfaction resulting from unpredictable hair reactions.

Liability for property damage is limited to proven negligence.
